Skinny Puppy - Remissions & Bites (1987) and Chainsaw ep (1987)
More industrial sounds! Inspired by the groundbreaking music of Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and others, Skinny Puppy composes multi-layered music generally using keyboards, synthesizers, found sounds, drum machines, manual percussion, tape splices, and samplers. The music has a dark, sneering edge to it and cool rock-house-whatever-style electric beats. Way to go, cEv and Niv! I'm bursting out laughing just by looking at the band members' names!

Remissions and Bites, basically a selection from the 1985 eps Remissions and Bites, and Chainsaw are among Skinny Puppy's earliest albums. The ep Chainsaw contains three re-mixes (quite pioneering!) and two new tracks. But leave that 'till last.
Remissions and Bites assaults you with 14 brilliant electro-industrial tracks - this is an album that has only gotten better the more I listened to it. Oh, and playing it loud also tends to improve it!
You can, if you want, first taste some of their special stuff here.

Ooh. thank you for these - I've wanted to hear those early EPs again for a while. I love the harsh, layered later stuff (VIVISectVI, Rabies, etc.), but there was something really beautiful (?!) about the early simple recordings.

This is the French-import version of Rem/Bites. It is WAY different than the Canadian Nettwek/Capitol version. I used to own it when 2nd generation cd's came out.
Please re-post! I gotta have it!
The file is "not found" @ Mega.
