GOD - The Anatomy of Addiction (1994)

To keep up my praise of the Tetragrammaton - the Tittygrandmaphone - here are a few words for GOD. I'll speak only of this album, as I've never heard any of their other ones. Neither do I know alot about the band, except that it consists of a collective of musicians who don't all appear on each and every album. That said, The Anatomy of Addiction is amazing, refreshing avantgarde heavy rock and one of the loudest albums I know. Not as fast or heavy as some black metal releases, this is a different kind of heaviness. It's like placing an edgy, sinewy Bruce Lee next to the Terminator. Terminagrimmytone.

Vocals, two guitars, two basses, one double bass, a drum set, two percussion sets, one electric viola, one bass clarinet, a tenor, baritone and alto saxophone and a bunch of samples are the ingredients for this rock-industrial-noise insanity. Production is top notch, therefore The Anatomy of Addiction is created to be played very, very loudly. All songs written by GOD. I love it.
