Praxis - Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis) (1992)

Transmutation, the first Bill Laswell Praxis release, is truly a unique funk project combining elements of ambient, industrial noise & metal. With a strong band line-up here - they all seem to play their hearts out for the music cohesively. Guitar maestro Buckethead clearly is in his element with his unique groundbreaking approach to fingerboard and harmony. P-Funksters Bootsy & Bernie get down nasty and dirty, whilst Brain's drumming moves from solid to quite frenetic.

This album is quite chaotic at times and may not be for everybody, but as a concept is cohesive with undeniable energy & intensity. This is definitely Praxis at their peak! (MoogPower)

Firstly, it's unclear what you're referring to with "this". Aesthetically speaking, I think "this" is ok, ie it's really fucking good music. However, I think you're referring to the ethical question regarding copyright and such. Again, "this" is ok, as neither the artists or the labels that release their albums get the money the consumer puts down on the counter. Check out the netlabel section on the right for more info regarding this matter.

Secondly, I have been buying albums for over 10 years now. So your use of the word "change" is ridiculous and pathetic.

Moreover, "copyright" is a European invention that came about only after Gutenberg invented his printing press. The Economist of April 15-21 has a special issue about this. I would advise you to go and buy it. And read it, of course.

Accept that the era of copyright is on its last legs. Fucking ignoramus.
