Sentridoh - The Original Losing Losers (1990)
Sentridoh's Lou Barlow has done many things, and this album is one (relatively unknown) of them. Only for hardcore lo-fi fans, it contains 40+ tracks, some shit (which is fun), some hilarious (which is fun) and some emotionally quite touching (which is nice). My favourites by far are King of the Dull Thump and even further Beyond the Barbwire. The latter could well be interpreted as a mad trip into the Great War's trenches of France and Flanders. Lovely to turn up disturbingly loud while having some friends for dinner. Hehe. Suffer, friends!
I have to note that something went wrong with the naming of the tracks: my system must have bumped over one somewhere. So you'll either have to add or substract a number... Sorry.

I found a funny dramatic anecdote about the album on rateyourmusic.com - you can check it out in the comments section if you want.

The following is a fictional account of a meeting between Lou Barlow and famously slapdash Guided By Voices mainman Bob Pollard
Bob: Hey Lou, I heard you were putting out all your old demos and thought I’d stop by and see how you were getting along.
Lou: Yeah, I’ve just finished putting it together. It’s just a bunch of old 4-track recordings of demos and stuff I’ve kept from over the years.
Bob: Sounds cool. I always like that aesthetic y’know. Once you’ve recorded something over and over again, you lose that initial spark. Some of the magic is lost.
Lou: You want to hear some of it. I just finished putting the sequencing together.
Bob: Yeah sure. Hey, what’s that smell?
Lou: Oh, I haven’t had a shower in a few weeks. And the trash needs taking out. And my cat’s litter box needs cleaning as well. And I was smoking dope all day. Anyway, here we go…
Lou hits play – on the tape is a cat screeching and Lou mumbling ‘compiled from truly inferior tapes of stupid self-involvement, now on display for your dismissal or gradual acceptance’. The track continues with a cat screeching and Lou mumbling ‘Sentridoh’ over and over again followed by Lou saying something about a spectre of true indie folk trendsetting. It’s all very annoying…
Lou: Hehe. That’s just me setting the scene. There’s a lot more to come.
Bob: O Kaaay
The next track features Lou strumming an acoustic guitar unremarkably for a minute. That’s it. The following track is pretty much the same except it lasts 3 and a half minutes…
Bob: Uh… Lou, what’s the deal here?
Lou: Don’t worry man, there’s loads more to come.
Bob: Jeez, I need a beer.
Bob runs off to raid the fridge. Lou scratches himself and smokes some more dope.
Bob: Alright. I think I can take just a little more of this.
Lou: Cool man.
Lou hits play again. By track ten, Bob is getting distinctly agitated
Bob: This is a joke right?
Lou: What do you mean man?
Bob: I’ve got nothing against short, badly produced songs, but these aren’t even songs Lou. You seriously expect people to listen to this crap?
Lou: There are some songs in here Bob. I just wanted to include everything to give the fans a glimpse into my creative process. Y’know, get inside my head – see what makes me tick.
Bob: This is lo-fi taken to extremes man. I don’t even know what you’d call it. No-fi?
Lou: Hey, I like that. ‘No-fi’. I’M THE KING OF NO-FI!.
Bob: I’m outta here. Good luck man.
Lou: Hey, wait. I just had a new idea for song.
Lou strums an acoustic guitar while singing ‘I’m the king of no-fi’ while his cat screeches in the background.
Lou: The fans will love this shit. It’s deep man.
Bob: Seriously dude, you need help.
Lou: There's still 30 more tracks on the album. You want to hear them?
Bob: Wait, did you say... 30?
Lou: Like I said. Everything is in here man.
Bob runs screaming from the room
The End.

Hello Paxjorge,
A time ago I wrote in the comments that it's always worthwile to listen to the music you post; even if you have never heard it before.
But after reading this great story on Barlow and Pollard, I think I'll skip this one. Better luck next time ;-]
It's great to hear Lou Barlow's music again!
On another note; Musique de la Grèce Antique is still one of my favourite downloads since I found out this world you all inhabit. Good day Sir Pax Diero!
Great, I could not find this a long time... Any chance to add some more of Lou's "albums"?
Nice one for posting this, there was a funny gag in the NME about Lou Barlow, he's hoovering in the lounge, and the 4-Track is just there, you can guess what happens next, that's right, he presses record and releases an LP called 'Just a bunch of stuff'
